Description
Ananda, one of Buddha’s assistants, asked the Buddha if cultivating mindful friendships was at least half the mindfulness path. The Buddha replied, “No Ananda. It’s the whole of the mindfulness path.”
Even if you don’t follow the teachings of the Buddha (the original dude who came up with mindfulness way before Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, Thich Nhat Hanh, or anyone else we attribute mindfulness to), it’s common sense that the company we keep has a huge impact on who we are.
Practicing alone in a culture that doesn’t support mindfulness can feel isolating and hard to sustain. Practicing in a community helps us deepen our practice and learn from each other. Plus it’s more fun!
Join me to practice together, share experiences, and deepen our understanding of mindfulness. This is also an opportunity to address your questions and challenges related to your practice, on and off the cushion.
Suggested donation is $5-20.
